Welcome to Premier Golf Fitness (PGF). I am an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist. I earned my Master's Degree in Exercise Science in Education from Northern Illinois University in 1986 and I am certified by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). Note: I do not provide medical treatment for injuries or accidents. If you are in need of physical therapy, please contact your physician.

I have spent over 37 years designing exercise programs and health behavior modification in cardiopulmonary and diabetic rehabilitation participants. I have also trained athletes in a variety of sports. My personal training history includes power lifting, ice hockey goaltending, baseball, half-marathons and of course, golf.

Through the years I have had the opportunity to play golf with people of all age groups. I have been able to observe people lose distance, mobility, strength and power. I became certified by TPI to help people perform and enjoy golf for as long as possible. I am committed to providing golfers of all ages and abilities with professionally designed, highly individualized fitness programs.  If you are interested or have questions, please contact me.

The Premier Golf Fitness Philosophy

My philosophy of meaningful education and individualized programming drives the success of Premier Golf Fitness' Golf Fitness and Nutrition Assessment programs, which are designed to meet the individual needs of each client.

Pre-program assessments evaluate your existing strengths and identify areas where improvement is needed. The combination of education and individualized fitness training promote a holistic, mind-body approach to better golf performance.  Simply put, the body is the greatest asset in long term golf performance.

But the benefits of a golf fitness program don't end on the golf course. As you work to meet your performance goals, you'll enjoy an improved quality of life through better fitness and nutrition. You'll look better, feel better, and reduce your risk of heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, and other devastating illnesses.

Premier Golf Fitness can help you change your game AND your life.

Why the Titleist Performance Institute training?

TPI trained professionals believe in the philosophy that golfers will benefit the most from a healthy and efficient body.  "We don't believe in one way to swing a club; we believe there are an infinite number of ways to swing a club. But we do believe there is one efficient way for everyone to swing a club and it is based on what they can physically do".  Thus, PGF programming starts with a TPI physical screen to evaluate physical abilities, movement quality and basic technique. A history is also evaluated.  Once the screen is completed and analyzed, the results are used to create a unique plan for optimal swing efficiency/performance.  As fitness and swing abilities change, lessons with your golf professional is highly encouraged to help with swing mechanics, grip adjustments and ball striking.  In some cases medical management may be needed and includes physical therapy treatment and/or physicians.
